Rectangular banknote with a face value of 3 Ukrainian kopecks, the average face value of the 1991 issue. On the obverse, Lybid is depicted as a genealogical hero in East Slavic mythology, the legendary sister of three brothers - the founders of Kiev and the legendary ancestors of the Polyan tribe - Kiy, Shchek and Khoryv. In the upper right part of the banknote is the inscription "Ukraine" (УКРАIНА), below which is the denomination "CUPON" (КУПОН) followed by the denomination "3". At the bottom in smaller font is the denomination "CARBOVANȚIV" (КАРБОВАНЦIВ) and in smaller letters "National Bank of Ukraine" (НАЦИОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАIНЫ) and the year of issue - 1991. On the reverse, the Saint Sophia Cathedral is a church built in the first half of the 11th century in the center of Kiev, according to the chronicle, by Prince Yaroslav the Wise on the site of the victory over the Pechenegs in 1036. At the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, the building was externally rebuilt in the Ukrainian Baroque style. At all four corners of the design, the denomination "3" is represented, each on a rosette. The design of the banknote is made in tones of purple and yellow on the obverse, and purple on the reverse.
