The radio is in a wooden casing and was designed for receiving amplitude modulation broadcasting stations in the standard LW, MW and HF wavebands. The upper part is covered by a textile mesh with a hexagonal pattern, under which the speaker is located. At the bottom, under the mesh is the control panel, horizontal, dark in color with markings of radio stations on different frequencies, these being names of cities in the USSR (RIGA, TALLINN, LENINGRAD, MOSCOW, VORONEZH, , UFA, FRUNZE, KIEV, SVERDLOVSK, NOVOSIBIRSK, IRKUTSK, MINSK. , as well as two rotary knobs, and at the bottom on the wooden case there are 5 light-colored keys. On the right side of the grid is the name Minsk-61 written in Cyrillic letters (МИНСК-61), and under this name are two buttons on which is written О On the radio scale you can distinguish bands such as ,,M,, (medium waves), ,,KB,, (short waves), ,,CB (very short waves). It has a built-in pick-up with three speeds -33,45 and 78 rpm that allows the playback of regular and long-playing records.
