The Cosauti Museum of History and Ethnography is the second museum institution of public interest in the Soroca district and represents an important objective in the tourist route of the region. The museum was initially established as a school museum, by the geography teacher Iacob Popov, in 1965. In 1985, the museum expanded, with pieces discovered as a result of archaeological excavations, carried out near the village of Cosauti. In 1995, through the joint efforts of the museum director and the local public authorities, the Cosauti History and Ethnography Museum was transferred to the building of the first secular school in Cosauti - a historical monument, built in 1896, where it still operates today.
The permanent exhibition consists of an impressive exhibition of archaeological, geological, numismatic, but also vernacular pieces, given the fact that the locality is famous for its stone carvers.
