The Museum of History and Ethnography Soroca has more than a century of existence. During this time, it served as a fountain for those thirsty for knowledge and culture. The museum has valuable exhibits in its collection, such as pieces of traditional clothing, fabrics, armor, archaeological pieces, discovered on the territory of the Soroca district. The most valuable objects are the mirror of Petru Rares and a bronze dagger.
The museum has two branches: the Soroca Citadel, a historical monument of national importance, which dates back to the 15th century and was part of the defensive system of Medieval Moldova, and the Candle of Gratitude, which is located at the entrance to the city of Soroca, inaugurated in 2004.
