Regional Museum of History and Ethnography "Anatol Candu"
        The Regional Museum of History and Ethnography "Anatol Candu", in Văsieni, is the only one of its kind in the Ialoveni district and has a history of several decades. The work on the creation of this cultural edifice began in 1979. The launch and official opening took place in 1982, under the leadership of Anatol Candu. The museum was allocated the church building, which was renovated. Then the headquarters was moved to the building of the House of Culture. Today the museum has its own building, an edifice registered in the Register of Monuments of the Ialoveni District, with a history of over 150 years.
        Since January 2004, the museum has obtained district status and is under the management and administration of the Culture Section of the Ialoveni District.
        Inside the museum are exhibited pieces that are of interest to the history of the nation. The collection includes household objects, tools, working equipment, clothes, which show the way peasants from the central area of Moldova lived. Apart from the peasants' living things, there are also kept objects that relate the events of the Second World War, fragments of weapons and ammunition, objects that belonged to the participants in the battles, personal diaries, some decorations. A panel was also created, which contains the photographs of all the war veterans from the village of Vasieni, the exhibition of photographs and documents devoted to the victims of the communist regime, deportations, famine - "The Column of Immortality".
        Some of the oldest exhibits are those found on the territory of the Selistia, located a few kilometers from the village. These objects date back to 2 nd century BC and represent shards of handmade clay vessels, household items, stone ornaments, fragments of weapons.
        Bone fragments of some prehistoric mammals are also exhibited, Deinotherium gigantissimus (proavum) - right mandible fragment, aged between 9.8-8.8 million years, Zygolophodon turicensis - right mandible fragment, aged between 9.8-8.8 million years; meridional elephant (Archidiskodon meridionalis) - lower right molar, about 1.6-1.2 million years old.
        In addition to the permanent exhibition activity inside the museum, outdoor events are also organized. The museum's workers, together with the Regional Department of Culture, organize various projects to attract visitors and valorize on the museum's heritage.
